October 5, 2012

There is a new license application from Dalston Emporium, of 129 Kingsland High Street.

The applicant, Mr Aslan, has applied for ‘a premises licence to allow the supply of alcohol from 09:00 to 22:00 Sun to Thurs and 09:00 to 00:00 Fri, Sat, St Patricks Day, Easter Sunday, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day and each Sunday before a Bank Holiday Monday and late night refreshment from 23:00 to 00:00 Fri, Sat, St Patricks Day, Easter Sunday, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day and each Sunday before a Bank Holiday Monday.’

This establishment is on the strip of Kingsland High Street between John Campbell Road and Crossway which already has a large number of other licensed premises and whose pavements are already heavily congested with drinkers at night.

The deadline for objections is 26th October. If you want to object, email licensing@hackney.gov.uk with the name of the premises and/or its address in the subject line of your email.

Your objection is most likely to be taken seriously if it directly addresses the objectives of Hackney’s Licensing Policy. The four main objectives of the policy are:

• Prevention of crime and disorder
• Public safety
• Prevention of public nuisance
• Protection of children from harm.
