Plus One Wine Bar – 20 Stoke Newington Road seeking music license

November 19, 2012

A planning application has been submitted by Mr Ali Erdogan for a

Variation of condition 2 attached to the planning consent ref: 2007/0893, dated 07/08/2007 to allow live and amplified music to be played within the premises.

This refers to the basement wine bar at 20 Stoke Newington Road, downstairs from the Tipsy Bar.

It should be noted that a similar application from the same applicant to allow amplified music to be played during opening hours at these premises was REFUSED on the ground that:

The proposal, by reason of its location, extent of hours and insufficient/inadequate information regarding the noise emissions and sound-proofing, would result in an unacceptable development which would adversely affect the amenity of the  neighbouring occupiers. As such, the proposal would be contrary to saved policies EQ40 (Noise Control) of the Hackney Unitary Development Plan 1995 and policy 15 (Evening and Night time economy) of the Core Strategy 2010.

If you want to find out more about this application, go to www.hackney.gov.uk/planning-search-applications and enter the application number 2012/2756

If you want to object to this application, you can do so online at this site or email planning@hackney.gov.uk quoting the application number 2012/2756 in the subject line of your email.

The closing date for objections is 11-12-2012.
