January 4, 2013

The Evin Cafe, at 115 Kingsland High Street, has applied for apremises licence to allow supply of alcohol from 10:00 to 00:00 Sun to Thur and from 10:00 to 02:00am Fri and Sat and late night refreshment from 23:00 to 00:00 Sun to Thur and from 23:00 to 02:00am Fri and Sat.

This application differs by only one hour at weekends and two hours on weekdays.  In 2006, the council also refused an application by Evin for a late license.

The closing date for objections is January 9th, 2013.

If you want to object, email licensing@hackney.gov.uk with the name of the premises and/or its address in the subject line of your email.

Your objection is most likely to be taken seriously if it directly addresses the objectives of Hackney’s Licensing Policy. The four main objectives of the policy are:

• Prevention of crime and disorder
• Public safety
• Prevention of public nuisance
• Protection of children from harm.
