Alcohol license for Skylarking Cafe

May 21, 2015

An application has been made for ‘a premises licence to allow supply of alcohol from 12:00 to 23:00 Mon to Sun’ for the Skylarking Cafe, at 52 Boleyn Road (on the corner with Bradbury Street).

Bradbury Street already has a large number of premises selling alcohol to the public and is a source of nuisance to residents in that street and nearby, in Gillet Square. It is within the Dalston SPA area, orginally set up to limit anti-social behaviour linked to the night-time economy in an area where the licensed bars, clubs, restaurants and off licenses have reached saturation point.

The deadline for objections to this application is June 10th, 2015

If you wish to object to this application, write to licensing@hackney.gov.uk with the address of the premises in the subject line.

Your objection is most likely to be taken seriously if it directly addresses the objectives of Hackney’s Licensing Policy. The four main objectives of the policy are:

• Prevention of crime and disorder
• Public safety
• Prevention of public nuisance
• Protection of children from harm.
